1. Winter paintball at Fort Ouest in Arundel
Who is it for? Friends, beginners, families with eligible young players, celebrations and teams looking for an outdoor group activity. The site has 15 outdoor fields and offers paintball year-round, subject to conditions and availability.
In winter, paintballs are adapted to the cold and several masks are used during play. The team explains the rules and leads the games. Advance booking lets us prepare your welcome, equipment and start time.
How much time and budget should you allow?
- Playing time: choose two-hour admission or a full day. Add about 20–45 minutes for check-in, equipment and the safety briefing; preparation is separate from your booked playing time.
- Prices and equipment: admission includes a mask, marker and game supervision, among other items. Paintballs and optional protective clothing cost extra, individually or in an equipment package. Check the current winter prices and inclusions before choosing.
- Young players: children aged 10–11 must have a parent playing with them. Minors aged 12 and over need parental consent. Every participant completes the waiver before playing.
What should you wear for paintball in the snow?
Bring layered clothing, winter boots with good grip, gloves and spare socks. Paintball protective clothing does not replace clothing suited to cold weather. Confirm what your package supplies and follow the team’s instructions for fitting your mask.

A warm break at Fort Ouest’s winter restaurant stop
Whether you are stopping during a snowmobile ride or planning a meal around paintball, the relais offers a place to warm up in Arundel. The restaurant’s snowmobile season begins when Club de Motoneige Diable et Rouge opens the trails.
- During that season: Thursday through Monday, noon to 5 p.m.; closed Tuesday and Wednesday.
- Evenings: opening may be arranged by calling ahead and receiving confirmation from the team.
- Groups of eight or more: call ahead to arrange food and service.
